Artist Regina Silveira’s work turns on the ambiguity of perspective. Most recently, she has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation (1991), Pollock-Krasner (1993) and Fulbright (1994). She was artist in residence at the Banff Center for the Arts, in Alberta, Canada (1993), Ranieri Civitella Center, in Umbertide, Italy (1995) and the University of Texas in Austin (1998). Her work has been shown throughout Brazil and in galleries and museums around the world. Silveira’s work was featured in major internal and external installations for the 1998 Sao Paulo Biennial and is currently in the 2001 New York Guggenheim show, Brazil: Body and Soul.
