John J.A. Jannone has worked in the electronic media for over 10 years as a sound artist, performer, programmer, and designer of experimental electronic instruments. He has worked independently and with collaborators from a range of disciplines, including the visual arts, theater, music and dance.

Recent projects include: Electronic music premieres at the International Computer Music Conference in Havana, Cuba and the Eighth Biennial Symposium on Arts and Technology at Connecticut College; and interactive video design for dance as part of the Active Space Residency at Grinnell College.

John is an assistant professor at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, teaching in the Department of Television and Radio and the Conservatory of Music. He is the director of the College's proposed advanced certificate program in Performance and Interactive Media Arts (PIMA). He has taught in the field of electronic media arts at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York, and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. He is a director of Ballibay for the Fine and Performing Arts, a summer arts program for children located in Camptown, Pennsylvania.
John holds a BA in Philosophy from Colgate University and an MFA in Electronic Arts from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
